Beneath the streets of Alexandria, Egypt, in a chamber that smelled of ozone and ancient dust, Danni Green stared at her own terminal. Her fingers were trembling, hovering over the execute key she had just struck.
The Alkebulan Protocol was no longer a theory. It was a ghost in the machine. “Is it working?” Grayson whispered from the shadows, his voice tight with the copper-taste of blood and adrenaline. He then went unconscious. Danni didn’t answer. She couldn’t. On her screen, a single progress bar was frozen at 99%. She had just authorized the transfer of over nine billion dollars, the stolen inheritance of the human species. She had unleashed the Protocol, sparking a new order that would legally delete the concept of racism and dismantle the architecture of scarcity.
But the “Confirm” notification did not come. “The transfer is in the dark,” Danni finally whispered, her eyes reflecting the violet glow of the frozen screen. “The money is gone from their vaults. But God help us… I don’t know if it will reach anyone.”
